HOW ARE THERAPY SERVICES PROVIDED?

Majority of our evaluation and therapy services are provided via teletherapy utilizing real time video conferencing on a HIPAA compliant platform to ensure patient privacy and security. It is effective therapy in the comfort of your home. Select services are also available for in-home visit, please check out our services page for details and our travel zone.

HOW OFTEN WILL THERAPY BE PROVIDED?

The frequency of services is determined on a case by case basis taking into account the disorder, the severity, and family/child needs. Frequency is determined in the plan of care.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Gooseberry Speech Therapy is a private pay practice. An insurance reimbursement statement (known as a Superbill) will be provided after each session. This is a detailed statement of the services that were completed during each session. You can choose to submit the Superbill to your insurance provider should you decide to pursue reimbursement on your own. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider to see what out-of-network services are covered.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS?

To have successful teletherapy sessions, you need to have a computer or tablet with reliable internet connection, a camera, and a microphone.

DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT DURING SESSIONS?

A parent or caregiver over the age of 18 must be present and involved for the entire duration of all evaluation and therapy sessions. This allows for therapeutic parent-coaching and ensuring the safety of the patient.

DO I NEED TO HAVE ANY SPECIAL MATERIALS FOR THERAPY?

The goal of my therapy is to make it functional and to fit your family. We will work together to use the toys and items already in your home for therapy so you can practice skills throughout the week. For feeding therapy, there may be recommendations made to use certain foods or to try various equipment/bottles/etc. to promote progress.

HOW TO GET A COPY OF MY CHILD’S REPORTS?

The evaluation, plan of care, and progress reports are available in your client portal. They are available to download and print at any time.

DO YOU PROVIDE THERAPY IN MY STATE?

Currently, we are only able to offer our services for families residing in Arizona state. If you are interested in our services, but are in another state,  subscribe here to receive an update if your state is added as a service area.
